Don't know where else to ask about this.
I have an MX518, it's been with me for a few years now and a few days ago the mouse wheel just randomly decided to stop letting me scroll. I can even pin point the exact moment it decided to just stop working; I was playing some vidya that required the mouse wheel (so I know it was working), I alt-tabbed to chrome to browse and realized my mouse wouldn't let me scroll so I alt tab back in-game and the scroll wouldn't work there either. After that, the scroll function never came back.
Pressing it still works fine it's just the scroll function is completely gone now. I've tried replugging it and plugging it into a different usb port and nothing. The thing is a few years old already, is it a hardware thing?
Thanks for any help.

Have you tried using it with a different computer?
I looked this mouse up and it seems to be a common problem with the scroll wheel. Anyway I found this so I would suggest you try it:
1. Uninstall the SetPoint software
2. Download and install SetPoint v 6.32 (available here).
3. In SetPoint, make sure "smooth scrolling" is turned off.

This is embarassing.
I tried this and it worked fine, I go back to my PC and it starts working again.
So thanks
