• PC Build - Gaming and Editing

I've been settling with my laptop for a while now. It's a gaming laptop that worked well as a mobile computer so I could move it when I come back home from my university. However, it's been slowly getting outdated and issues from the laptop itself are arising so I thought it was a good time to build a new PC. I'm using this for gaming, to do video/photo editing, and some 3D stuff as well. I also have a Nvidia GTX 460 atm. I wonder if it's still worth it to use it for this build or just sell it and buy the 760 from my list. I'd like to keep the price below that. Any suggestions on the brands and parts? I've never built a PC before so I'm not sure what I would need beyond the core components like if I need to buy separate fans, thermal compound, etc. Any tips on that would be great.
Actually, that looks pretty good. Depending on how heavy your 3d modelling and video editing is, you may want to get another 8gigs of ram in the future.
I would suggest https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Storage/SSDs/100GB+-+180GB+SSD/Corsair+Force+LS+Series+120GB+2.5%22+SATA+6Gb%2Fs+Solid+State+Hard+Drive+%28CSSD-F120GBLS%29+?productId=57685 (On a US Site ofc) over the one you choose according to http://www.ebuyer.com/409849-samsung-120gb-840-series-ssd-mz-7td120bw Sequential Read Speed: Up to 530MB/s Sequential Write Speed: Up to 130MB/s Where as the one above (Maybe for a little extra) has Sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s Sequential write speeds of up to 535 MB/s Way better and corsair are more reliable.
You want the 4670k; the 4670 doesn't overclock.
this. you might also want to get it at a higher freq. he might not need to oc
He's buying a cooler and an overclocking motherboard, I think it's safe to assume the goal is to overclock. If it's not then those things need to be changed anyway. Higher RAM frequency doesn't make that much of a difference.
