I need some advice on this build I came up with. I have a budget of about $1000USD. Processor:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115215 Motherboard:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128401 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231193 (I already have a graphics card, hard-drive, PSU, and a CD/DVD-ROM Drive. ) That sums up to about $425USD. I need help with picking out a case, and a headset. I would prefer the case to be a Mid Tower. I also plan to run games such as Crysis, upcoming games such as ME2, Etc.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115215 save you like 300 bucks and better performance
Is the i5 suppose to be better than the i7? What's the significant difference between the two?
the i5 750 is better than the i7 920.
Is the i5 suppose to be better than the i7? What's the significant difference between the two?
i5 has no hyperthreading, which is useless if it's only for gaming and and browsing/word processing/whatnot
I've changed the build to fit the i5. All sensible advice is welcome.
Bump.
How do you feel about the Antec 300 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042) or the Antec 300 illusion(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066)? Or maybe the CoolerMaster HAF 922(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197)? All great cases. The HAF is actually a Mid-tower and is very roomy, my friend owns one and I'll tell ya, it has amazing air flow. The inside metal is basically cold to the touch and helps keep his CPU running at a nice 18 degrees celcius. The HAF is $99, however the Antec 300 is $55 and the Antec 300 Illusion $70. Regardless of what Newegg says the Antec 300 is actually a Mini-tower, says so right on the box. Another one of my friends also owns the Antec 300 and that also gets great air flow. The difference between the Antec 300 and the Illusion is that the Antec 300 has 1 x 120mm rear fan and 1 x 140mm fan on the top of the case, and the Illusion has 1 x 120mm rear fans and 2 x 120mm blue LED front panel fans and a 1 x 140mm fan on the top of the case. Again all great cases, I guess it depends on how much you wanna spend. Again prices and links, Antec 300 $55: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042 Antec 300 Illusion $70: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066 CoolerMaster HAF 922 $100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197 Hope that helps.
