Hey I downloaded service pack one for win 7 and after it restarted the comp I get stuck on starting windows. I had to reinstall windows but do now? Do I download it again or wait?
"I put my hand in the fire and got burned. Now it healed, should I put it in the fire again?"
I'd say no.
Feel free to try again if you really want service pack 1 though.
It should work with a clean install.
Download everything through windows update. Refresh it a few times and wait a few days to make sure it has ALL the updates before downloading the 50 mb file to get to sp1. There were some compatibility issues with future updates with some editions and architectures so take a bit of time and actually read the description for the updates.
I suggest try it again, you already have a new Windows installation, there is nothing you can lose (Except an hour of your life).
KB2533552 is the one you would want. That may or may not help.
thanks guys for the help let you guys know if the problem starts up again

No, it can get do to around 50MB if you download ALL the updates beforehand.
I just figured you left off a 0 and it was like 540 mb download for me but if you have most of it already then it's understandable.
