So I installed 4.0 but I really miss my jailbreak and 4.0 kills my battery. How can I downgrade, I keep getting this 3194 error and I can't find the solution on google :(
Thanks in advanced.
I don't know. I thought this thread was a guide on how to do it.
TIP: Change thread title to a question so that it doesn't seem like a guide.
Fixed
Apple doesn't like people downgrading. Assuming you have a 3GS or an iPod Touch 3G, unless you have your SHSH blobs stored for 3.1.3, the "window of downgrade opportunity" is now closed.
But if you don't have one of those devices, try kicking it in DFU mode and downgrading it through that.

You were able to downgrade or you fixed your thread up?
Nevermind, I see that you edited your thread and not resolved the issue.
You probably missed the period of time to downgrade as suggested, I also get this error but I'm already running 3.1.3 and just wanted to install a fresh copy of the firmware on my 3GS but no luck.
You cannot downgrade - But if u saved ur SHSH u could downgrade using Sauriks method
How could you save your SHSH anyway?
As long as you connected to Cydia at least once, Sauriks server would automatically back them up.
I've connected to Cydia at least once, so I've got a SHSH?

Okay so I tried the SHSH method and it didn't work.
Steps I took:
1. I edited the hosts file like they asked and added
# 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
2. I put my iPod Touch 3G in DFU mode and I shift clicked restore and selected my 3.1.3 IPSW
I got the 3194 error :(
remove the #
Are you sure?

Still not working, tried TinyUmbrella method too, it says:"This device isn't eligible for the current build"
:/
HAH, IT WORKED!
I tried it again but this time I didn't put it in DFU mode but in recovery mode and it worked!
