Hit a snag. HD Audio plug is below my GPU, which crushes the plug. Any suggestions ?

1) What motherboard to you have? Can you provide a top down picture or find one on the internet (like newegg) just so we can see what is actually going on (picture is kind of bad). Shouldn't most motherboards have all these things lined up on the bottom on the board, well below PCI-e slots?
2) Do you [I]really [/I]need the front audio ports to work? Could just leave that port unplugged.

2. Yes, I use my headphones and speakers, I switch between them regularly. My speakers are a 5.1 system I don't feel like replugging every time I want to use Skype. It's a huge PITA.
