I like how this looks and all, but it just kinda looks like TF2 mixed with Super Monday Night Combat, with a little bit of Dota(Skills and Ultimates) in a universe that has A LOT of Blizzard references.

Cinema trailer's a beauty though.
There are two teams I can see how this looks like TF2

I usually despise this kind of comments, but honestly I've got to agree this time around.
I don't understand why people call this a "TF2 clone"
They have an engineer type character that builds sentries and has a magical tool that upgrades it by hitting it. A character that builds both sentries and teleporters. They have a medic type character that heals using heal type beams. And "Offense" Character that uses a Rocket Launcher as her main weapon and has high vertical mobility. Although there aren't many similarities, I still hold to the Super Monday Night Combat feel of the characters. It looks like it could be a lot of fun.

You say it like that combination is a bad thing
I'd play it.

unreal looks great and all but with that health and ammo pick up system it looks like another quake to me
looks pretty great. I'd love to see what the game is like in the beta next year.
How is this like TF2 at all? Sure the style or something is a bit like it but look at the pretty big set of special moves/abilities all these characters have.
It could be great, I wouldn't know I haven't tried it. Although that's what it looks like to me. Hopefully it'll be a blast. Hell it looks like a great big amalgamation of a lot of different things, I just hope they can pull it off. I'm just saying while it's not directly copying TF2 or anything else entirely there are analogs in other games, but hey that should be standard now basically everything's been done before. I'm not writing it off at all, just saying there are similar things in other games. It's not a bad thing at all.

Class based team shooter based around the "rock paper scissors" type hierarchy to complete objectives. Complete with healer, offensive, and utility type classes.
The characters themselves feel different but the general principle is the same. Kinda like how people compared Brink to TF2 even though the specific game mechanics worked very differently.
Each character looks like fun and it's blizzard. I'm fairly hopeful that it will be fun, just not sure if it will be super successful.
