Don't worry. Most people who get their license here in American are 18 and over. It's possible to get a license at 17 and a half but I don't think it's worth the hassle with driver's ed and what not. I'm 18 and just got my permit about a month ago.
I haven't had my first car yet but my dad says he'll let me use his car on the days he takes his motorcycle once I get to college. That doesn't really count though, does it?

I intend on getting a motorcycle first anyway. This is the one that I have my eye on in particular:
2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

my first car was a 1991 Red Pontiac Sunbird convertible. My current car is my 2002 Honda K24 Cr-v.
I've only been driving for 6 years, so only 3 cars so far. THe first two were toast within 6 months of eachother.
Current car: I too enjoy billet grills.

Only?
It might be just me, but I think you aren't supposed to break 3 cars over 6 years.
Why the fuck do people flaunt their "v-tec" features? It's nothing special, its standard on pretty much all honda, and honda related cars. Fuck, even Chevy has their own version.

The Mitsubishi Endeavor goes 0-60 in 8.0 Seconds, it weighs 4,156 pounds, and has 250 pound-feet at 3,750 rpm of torque. The thing is pretty good off-road.

Spoken like a true idiot, but it's not something you'd know unless you own a Honda I guess, so no big deal. Also the sticker comes stock on most vehicles equipped with it. I could ask you the same question as why do Some cars have the engine litre amount as part of the badging? Doesn't every car company make a 3.5 V6?
IT is in fact NOT standard on all Hondas around... V-tec starts on the D,b etc motors, but if you have a fuckin' K-series motor with the I-Vtec, you got something to show off. Same if you have an H-series.
Civic Si and Honda Cr-v's K-Series were the first I-Vtec for Honda. Chevy has it's own version? You mean GM, anyway, the Vortec is in fact not the same... if that's what you're referring to. Either way, be happy with that generic stock Mitsubishi tank. 250ft/lbs is nothing to jerk off over. For the amount of power, that car should make way more, then there's all that parasidic loss, and etc, etc. Also, that AT transmission will never see 3,700 RPms in a lot of gears so...
Also, 0-60 in 8 Seconds?
How can that be if it takes it 16.8 and longer seconds to do the 1/4 mile at 86MPH?
My car weighs 3,120LBS, makes only 214HP, and pulls only 180ft/lbs of torque, but will do a 1/4 mile in 14, high 13's...
so what does all that stuff about the outlander actually mean? Generic car. That Cadillac posted earlier would smoke the crap out of that thing, and probably even my car, but that's because it's outfitted with that good ol' american V8

Up here in NY you can get a full license at 17 if you take driver's ed, so it's actually worth it...
And working towards a car now, just got my junior license... Oh well.
