I'm sick of spotify. The limitations and features that they slap behind a pay-wall are bothering me more and more every day. What apps do you guys use for music? Any recommendations? Ideally I'd like to avoid having to individually download songs for myself.
SoundCloud is the only one I know, but I don't know how good it is.
I also use the Russian Facebook for music - Vkontakte.
For a hot tip, if you have an .edu email from college or university, you can get spotify for only $5/mo.
I don't think I'd use spotify otherwise tbh since yeah it's kind of limited, at least on mobile.
But for alternatives, I've heard decent things about Pandora and iHeartRadio.
I don't know how good it is because I just rip my CDs and put it onto my phone, but Google Music is apparently an okay alternative.
Soundcloud, I mainly listen not so popular rappers, theres popular stuff on there, behind a paywall though. If your not into rap tho soundcloud is pretty limited.
You can get an ad-free Spotify experience if you use a host file to block out ad servers. Otherwise I use VKontakte, the Telegram app has a handful of bots useful for downloading songs from there.
I can advice against all those bundled packages that come with mobile phone services, as I've tried 2 now and it's all been remixes of popular songs so that they don't have to pay licensing fees.
Amazon prime is actually terrible. Rhapsody/Napster cost more and has less. Pandora is a joke. You basically stuck with spotify if you want on demand any genre of music. Basically forced choose between Spotify or Google Music/Apple Music.
7digital is great
I've used Google Play Music for more than a year and it's pretty cool. Not perfect but feels more "comfortable" than Spotify. They offer 3 months of free trial, go check it out.
Google Play Music is pretty good, and I've had some decent experiences with Soundcloud.
i personally still enjoy pandora
When I use to use apps for my music on my iPhone I used an app called "Free music player & gdrive MP3 downloader"
Decent app, you can make your own playlist on it with YouTube videos but the only downside to it was you need internet

I think this app also comes up with "new songs" too

Yeah I love GPM, plus if they don't have something you want, you can just upload it and listen to it anywhere, on any device.
You use Spotify on a mobile device? Because Adblock also blocks the commercials on spotify web.
