There was one for video games, now here's one for children's movies

This bothered a lot of people, but this one was what bothered me more

I specificially came in here thinking "The Brave little fucking toaster"
lo and behold it's the first damn thing in this thread
I mean it's a great movie but god damn it was dark

i can remember brave little toaster giving me nightmares. 90s animation in general is the stuff of nightmares, today's stuff is nice and cheery and colorful, the 90s stuff like ren and stimpy or rocko's modern life are insane and bleak
Most of Courage the Cowardly Dog

i'd say like all of that show
Most of the circus scenes from We're back! A dinosaur Story.
And oh god this bit:

I didn't find courage the cowardly dog scary at all, I found all the sci-fi and fantasy cool and interesting
This motherfucker right here still makes me think about every chip I eat

Little Foot's Mother Land before time. I assume sad parts of movies count right? Unless you mean creepy weird and/or terrifying things. I don't remember how I felt about the scene as a kid it's been so long.

I can't handle this scene at all
Not a movie, but this entire episode is fucked up. Hell, the entire series is.

This movie, I swear. So good yet so damn freaky.

I remember watching this movie for the first time when I was really small. When I was young I didn't really have a good grasp of the concept of death (like most kids) and I turned to my mom after this scene and asked her "But littlefoot's mom is okay, right?" my poor mom had to leave the room because she started crying after I asked. :v:
That one episode from powerpuff girls where the main characters travel to the future to find it really fuck up and dark. Creep the hell out of me as kid and still creep me out to this day.

I think it was Titan AE or Atlantis: Lost Empire, or maybe even both of them having a shit load of people dying in the beginning.

I remember a part in Titan AE where a bartender bugman or somesuch just gets exploded into guts onscreen. I jumped a little.
Similarily, the part in Osmosis Jones where the gangster germs in the armpits are sliced up and sink down the drains. Eugh.

Artax scene still makes me cry my goddamn eyes out.

They showed this video in preschool/kindergarten to us. I freaked me out so much I had to turn away every time they showed it. This shit fucked me up so bad, that I legit couldn't watch it all the way through just now. The bit with the donuts made me gag uncontrollably.
I remember the villain from Fern Gully scared the fuck out of me as a kid, so much so that I couldn't stand to watch the movie. I think it was because he was a gelatinous shape-shifter.
As an adult... what a bland villain, but with Tim Curry's voice.

so many redshirts died that day....but we can always hire more redshirts
I used to get nightmares as a kid when I watched this scene on VHS but I can't help but love it. The music is pretty damn awesome too.

Funny to think that this sequence was actually supposed to be a lot longer but it was deemed to be too intense. Maybe one day Don Bluth will release this movie in it's uncut form that's if he still has one of the original prints.
As a kid, I didn't watch too many kid movies, so all of the trauma scenes that came from them have all really been posted.
But since I want to have some form of content to post, this scene from Terminator 2:

I was still a really young kid when I watched this, and it scared the hell out of me.
The Wizard of Oz (our teacher showed this clip to us not long ago)

The worst scene was when scarecrow said

thanks to youtube just click play and you will skip to the the scene

Holy shit, I've been looking for this video for years. I haven't seen this since first grade or so.
Speaking of weird early 3D animation, my parents used to get those VHS collections of computer animations. This one always freaked me out.

You can all go home now
As a guy from the same country as the novel's author, that movie was fucking senselessly horrifying

Man I'm almost 18 and that scene still gives me the fucking creeps.
This fucking thing scared the shit out of me so much when I first saw it that every time we watched afterwards I would have to run and sit at the top of the stairs until the scene was over.

The build up before it breaks through the door (which you don't see fully in the video) made it more terrifying as well. You see the mice struggling to keep it from moving and you catch a glimpse of it as it hits the door for the first time. I still am a little unnerved by it whenever I see the full scene.
I just remembered that for whatever reason, the Gumby movie utterly freaked me out as a tiny child. I remember nothing about it, except that for a very young me it had a surreal nightmarish quality.
Maybe I should seek it out now. I was probably about six when I saw it.
