• Using Parts From PS3?

I have a fat PS3 (40 gb) that got the ylod. I was able to fix it but then it crashed again, so I am looking to see if I can salvage any parts from it for my computer. I need a better disk drive for this computer and was wondering if the blu-ray one from the ps3 would work, and if so how? Also, if anyone knows how much I could sell extra parts from the PS3 for, please inform me. My current motherboard (I know it's not amazing): Msi 785GTM-E45
You can't. Although you might be able to sell it as a broken console for repairs.

IIRC PS3s use normal 2.5" hard drives, you could get a bay adpater and use that I guess other than that there won't really be anything
I am pretty sure you could use some of the capaciors and resistors, probably the whole power supply. Also I heard the laser diode can be used for rad laser pointer. And the cover would make a pretty rad storage box if you took it apart and added some hinges.
They use laptop hardrives, so you could use that. And if you like living dangerous, use the case.

Reuse the controllers for pc gaming. Possibly flash the hard drive using virtual basic and use it for memory.
