Big Deal. Having entire maps and content on the disc, and then having to pay extra to access it is the on-disc DLC that's bullshit. Just some snippets of basic code and shit to facilitate DLC in the future is different
Capcom doesen't really learn from its mistakes do they?

It's illegal in Europe iirc
Just wait until some Game Genie or Shark manages to access it.
(Correct if this is not how on-disc DLC works).

Those don't exist anymore on modern consoles due to their mainly online focus.
Uh, it sounds less like on-disc DLC and more support for DLC they can add later.

Didn't Game genie announce that they're back and something about it for Ps3?
yup
"At CES 2012, a company named Hyperkin announced that they were going to bring back the Game Genie for the 3DS[citation needed], DSi and DSi XL, DS Lite, DS, Wii, PS3, and PSP along with a new device called Save Guru[4]"
They said its not content, but snippets of code which will support future DLC. Christ.
The hooks allowing future DLC are required for any major console release in this generation.
You cannot sell DLC unless you update the game beforehand to have the labeled hooks.
Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony all require the same compatibility to prevent compatability issues when it comes to online downloads.
Capcom is getting blasted for doing things by the book and not having on disk DLC. This is odd.
doesn't each Pokemon game have to do something similar to allow it to handle trading from the newer games?

They just have the means to trade with newer games. New pokemon, moves, etc. can't be traded to the old games.
Ada campaign as coop? Sign me up that sounds great
I don't really see any issue with this. The DLC itself isn't there. Three's bits and pieces that anchor the DLC into the vanilla game, sure. But those sort of have to be there. FO3, Oblivion, FNV, Skyrim, TF2, L4D1/2, GTA IV, they all had that type of code too.

it's a glorified save editor, not game genie proper
