ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX640WFGMBOX PowerColor AX7750 1GBK3-H Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card 8GB RAM im just going to put my windows 7 Home Premium OS on it i guess
It should run it fairly okay following some optimization guides but don't expect to run the game at anything above low-medium with a decent framerate That CPU is pretty midrange but the 7750 is on the lower end of the spectrum nowadays
what gpu would you suggest that's not too terribly expensive?
What's your budget? And do you have a power supply?
i was gonna put a 600w on it and uh roughly 500
i was gonna put a 600w on it and uh roughly 500
Have you purchased any of the items you listed? Do you already have the power supply or do you need to buy one?
no i haven't bought anything. The gpu is only $80 so i can go a little higher on that
You don't need a 600W for a lower powered GPU, by the way, just get a better quality lower power unit (~420-500W, seasonic or whatnot) I ran a GTX570 and a heavily overclocked i5 on a 550W fine and have a friend who runs a 7750 on a shitty 400W PSU fine
If you're going with AMD I would upgrade the cpu to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286 And for a gpu something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202004 For a power supply you only need around 500W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027 This one should be good, and is on sale. Might be over your budget though
ok that will knock off some more money that i can spend then [editline]13th July 2013[/editline] ok cool ill look into those
Are you building it yourself? Is $500 the total cost for just the PC "tower", excluding Windows / monitor / mouse & keyboard?
I think there's some bottlenecks with the current engine as well. Hopefully it's addressed by retail.

My machine runs ArmA 3 smoothly and it has decent settings. But yeah, your machine will run it I'm sure of it.
My machine runs ArmA 3 smoothly and it has decent settings. But yeah, your machine will run it I'm sure of it.
? This tells us absolutelty nothing. Your machine might be a piace of toast for all we know.
Oh god don't buy an Athlon.
