• Installing Rainmeter / Dropbox on a network drive?
    0 replies, posted
I'm trying to install Rainmeter and Dropbox on my student network drive at my university. However, the portable version of Dropbox fails to find a network connection if stored on network drive and Rainmeter crashes asking me to debug every time I use the portable version. Unfortunately, the C: drive is frozen, and anything done prior to shutdown is erased unless on my personal storage folder (a measly 300Mb). I guess I could just install these on a flash drive, but it would be nice not to worry about the hassle since our "student" H: drive is booted on login. Maybe I'm just using a shitty portable app version, but I can't for the life of me get it to work. I've tried installing Rainmeter full version in H: directory instead of C:, but it's no use. Any tips or am I screwed without a flash drive?
