I haven't played it in like half a year and the reason why I stopped was because the game was just too buggy. And the new 3D models were kinda fucking with my head so I don't know that last thing kinda of comes off as taste but it was still to buggy.
Game is still fairly rough, it feels incredibly clunky and still needs a lot of improvement. Especially the interface. Hopefully with the early access feature, the game progresses more quickly. Thus far the developpement process was pretty slow.
Wow, its fucking nice to see a company actually releasing an early access game that isn't just a buggy pre-alpha mess
I mean, first impressions count people. Something like Minecraft worked great as an alpha because when it released it was full-featured and developed in its concept, just was rather barebones. Too many devs these days are making early access mean "buy now to basically preorder and you get to play our buggy, broken incomplete game". All this does is give a bad impression and make it so people are "done" with your game before it even had a chance to really shine.
Nice to see PZ is doing it right by making sure the early alpha release actually holds some sort of playable quality to it and is still very solid, even if its lacking in all the features planned for release or has a few non-major bugs here and there.
Actually it's still an alpha mess and most of the features don't work properly or aren't even implemented. The controls are also really stiff and it isn't really that enjoyable, it's far from finished. Asking money for this is pretty insolent, I know that there are a lot of games like this but Zomboid is one of the games that doesn't progress well.
I bought this a couple of years ago, will I be getting an email with a steam key?
Wow, I haven't played this game in years... Last time I played I think the biggest change was the tutorial skip with the pillow and then the updates just kind of stopped for a long time and I got bored listening to the devs talk about why they aren't developing. Shit like "there was a fire", "all our drives got stolen" and "there was a bomb threat". At one point people were just calling it a scam because of all the ridiculous shit that was happening to them

Is there a way to retrieve my username and password? I don't have the email anymore I don't think.

Pretty shit luck.
It reminds me of the time when Half-Life 2 was nearing deadline, but was nowhere near release, and then Valve had their servers hacked by that one guy, so they had to delay and re-do a bunch of work.

Apparently these claims turned out to be true, I also lost interest in it after those news but they are still working on it and actually has loads of new features.
Will defenitely get it on Steam asap. Been waiting forever.
Iirc you could activate it on Steam for a while now, but good to see you'll actually be able to buy it on Steam as well, it'll help expand the playerbase.
