I noticed yesterday while playing GTAIV that my GPU was artifacting, where bits of my screen would shake and wobble, as if it was playing an old cassette. I ran some GPU stress tests afterwards and sure enough, the same thing would happen when to card got to around 70C. I can probably keep my card below that if I turn up my fan speeds and whatnot, but I know that 70C isn't that hot for a GPU, so it's probably dying (Although I've only had it for 2 years). So what do I do? Do I try and keep it cool and let it die slowly? Or will it be fine if I just keep its temperatures low? Or shall I just bit the bullet and get a new card?
Most cards these days have between 3 year - 5 year (some lifetime) warranties. See if your card still has one and send it in for repair if possible.
