• Scroll like a boss - Chrome and SmoothScroll

Hey, I just wanted to let you know about something I've discovered while fiddling around. This tweak will allow you to get a scrolling feel on Chrome similar to the one you get on OSX using a Magic Mouse or Trackpad. Of course, if you're on OSX, you don't really need this. First of all, if you haven't already, install the SmoothScroll Extension from the Chrome Web Store. Then, go into Wrench Menu > Tools > Extensions (or type in chrome://extensions/), find SmoothScroll and click on Options: Then, input the settings you see in the image below, and press Save Settings: After you're done, reload all your tabs and enjoy your new scrolling experience. I can tell you that it feels very good when you get the hang of it. If you feel that the scrolling is hard to control, try decreasing the step size (first setting). Let me hear what you think. BONUS: this addon will allow for an even more pleasant scrolling experience.
Now that's some sexy shit son.
Very nice! Thanks a bunch TerabyteS_
Very nice! Thanks a bunch TerabyteS_
No problem. I'm happy that you like it.
No matter how much I adjust the settings, I can't seem to get it as smooth as Opera's scrolling. Oh, and there's a thread for this: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1112368. It's pretty inactive though.

Mine is very fluid on most pages. It lags just a little on content-heavy pages and during page load. But on FP it's great.
The dev channel has smooth scrolling built in now.
I used this for a while, but it's kinda buggy/laggy on some websites and doesn't play nice with my laptop's trackpad scrolling. Looking forward to a built in feature though.
Want your scrolling even better? https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ojmmnceaidnmminjjffpndcbdibelgam Bam, 3px scroll bar opposed to the current mammoth one. Hard to grab when things are in windowed mode and you have to grab the bar for whatever reason.
For some reason I loved it. But it gave me some headaches or something for no apparent reason, so I removed it. I really don't mind the normal scrolling.
I'm sort of wondering what the point of the video is when it's a slideshow that doesn't really show smooth scrolling.
I'm sort of wondering what the point of the video is when it's a slideshow that doesn't really show smooth scrolling.
I was expecting it to be more fluid, but my pc appears to be shit. Removed it anyway.
i used it for a few years and i stopped a few weeks ago doesn't really bother me unless i'm actually thinking about it
Is there a Firefox version?
It adds its own banner ads to YouTube.
This is nice.. Thanks. But if I find out it adds banner ads like you say, I'm removing immediately. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline] Yup, it does. Removed instantly.
Encase you're like me and like a somewhat snappy smooth scroll unlike the overkill one in the OP.
This is nice..
