Actually dropped a small amount of pop into my system, and I was wondering if any damage could have been done. Nothing got into the psu, some got caught in the cpu cooler and a bit landed on the gpu. I'm more sure if any got on the motherboard, and if so, what kind of damage could have been caused?
IIRC it will short out components and, if it hit the motherboard, It would short it. Although i'm no expert or electrician i'd say when it's dry there's not much chance of death/injury. Stand back just incase.
it appears to be fine now.
What kind? Trust me, it's vitally important. [editline]2nd November 2011[/editline]
it appears to be fine now.
Mind fuck

was the computer on when you dropped your beverage in there?
Shut it down, remove the power lead open the case and whipe it away. Then dont turn it on for 2 days. Even standard tap water can leave mineral deposits which can cause a short.
