I have a question in terms of safe proofing my build a lil bit longer just in case. I purchased a Gigabyte GTX 570 Super Over Clocked edition card a yr ago, but it soon became discontinued. Now there's a EVGA 2GB GTX570 that I've been eyeing on, and was wondering if I can use both of the in SLI w/o bottlenecking either of the cards into lower speeds.

My 570 SOC is running at around 985 MHZ right now, however I forgot the rest at the moment. I'll edit this and give more details later on. Will it be a better idea to SLI my build in the future or to buy a newer card? I'm not in a hurry, but I like to plan things out. Thanks
You could just manually overclock the non stock OC card to be the same as the other so there's no issues.
True, but I heard about something like the difference in CUDA cores will cause a huge bottleneck, which apparently is not the case for these cards. Thanks, I have but one more question I think.. Would the difference in memory cause any bottlenecking? because, the EVGA card has 2Gb and my 570SOC has only 1Gb..
It's 1280MB which is more than 1GB, but yes. They will both run as if they had 1280MB RAM.
There's no difference in CUDA cores on the two cards.
So is it better to get another GTX 70 with 1280mb card or go with the 2GB evga card?
they will both perform the exact same while SLI'd, if you want to save money get the 1280MB one, but if you ever separate them in the future the 2GB one will obviously be better.
I'll get the 1Gb one, because, as you said earlier, the 2gb will be bottlenecked down to 1 gb if SLId with my GTX 570SOC. There's no reason for me to separate them in the future when I'll just buy a faster card once SLI starts to slow down. I doubt my mobo can handle 3 in SLI anyways, not to mention, by the time I require 3 cards, I'll have built a completely new one already. Thanks for the help again! Really appreciate it~
