Hey guys,
I currently have an Antec 1200 case for my gaming computer and I'm planning on buying a Coolermaster HAF X as a sort of upgrade. What I was wondering is, will the 200mm fan from the Antec 1200 fit in the top of the HAF X?
Thanks in advance.
Yep
The mounting hardware might not match though.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.
I suppose I'll find out when I buy one.
Why are you "upgrading" from the Antec 1200 to the HAF X? Seems like a waste of money, sort of.
Future expandability?
The 1200 is pretty big, I don't know why they would need something larger if that was the case.
Exactly Apache said. And I have money to spend and nothing to spend it on.
There's always the option of something a bit nicer, but if you like the HAF X, more power to you.

HAF X is XL ATX compatible.

I'm just saying, it's not really a huge upgrade and I would rather spend it on something like an SSD, a PhysX card, more RAM, something.
I just said that because "The Antec 1200 is pretty big."
I already have a GTS 250 for dedicated PhysX and 6 Gb of RAM is enough (for now). I suppose I could get an SSD but I will probably buy one after I get the HAF X. If anyone is wondering what specs I have goto: http://www.dosycool.com/mygamingcomputer.htm

Either way that's sort of irrelevant to this considering that the OP obviously doesn't have an XL ATX board now.
How the hell did that cost $4100
[editline]11:35PM[/editline]
and you're using third party drivers for the PhysX I assume

It cost $4100 in Australian Dollars. And most of the parts were bought around the end of last year so things were more expensive than they are now.
And I'm using Nvidia drivers, version 257.15 which they accidentally allowed PhysX hybrid with ATi. They fixed the 'problem' and re-uploaded it but I found the old one.
The reason for this upgrade is obvious although seems a little excessive as the HAF X is currently one of few cases that can support 3 full sized graphics cards in sli/ crossfire.
Think it was 3 cards anyway not really ever going to need that sort of graphics power but hey got to have a passion.
It can actually support up to 4 full graphics cards with room to spare. I'm not getting this for a 3 or 4 way SLI/Crossfire configuration though.
OP, you should buy a better HDD to replace your caviar green. They're always quite slow. You should look at a caviar black or a samsung spinpoint

No it's not obvious. They're essentially the same case with a couple of extra features. And it can support up to four full-size graphics cards, which he doesn't need and is basically the only extra feature the HAF X has over his Antec.
Antec 1200 is a fine case unless you want 4 gfx cards or an xl mobo
Well the main reason I'm going to get the HAF-X for my next build is because I like the look and it has USB 3.0 ports that will go with my motherboard.

this is different because I imagine you're upgrading from an actual shitty case, which has a point to it
Um, not really it's a CM Storm Sniper(I didn't notice how stupid the name is) but whether it's shitty or not is an opinion.
Well that's silly too.
The case is pretty good actually.

Crossfired 5870, and keep your GTS250 for PhysX
Upgrade your GPU. GTS295 or GTS280 if you can afford it at all, or just SLI GTS250
If you read what he said properly you'll see that the 250 is a dedicated physX card. His main one is a 5870
-snip ironic-
First of all, there's no such thing as a GTS295 or GTS280. Second of all, he never stated what GPU he has. All he said is that he has a GTS250 for PhysX.
Damnit, ninja'd.
