Hi, you might remember me from "my friends computer won't turn on", but today I'm here to ask, will a ATi HD RADEON 6850 fit in the motherboard shown above? We're pretty much sure that the case will accomodate it (it's a midi-tower ATX), but the motherboard - we're not so sure.
The motherboard is micro-ATX, and we were wondering if you could get THIS tasty beast in successfully, or is it just not possible.
The motherboard is called the ASUS M4N68T-M LE V2. If it doesn't fit, does anyone else have any good upgrades for it - he's currently using the 5570, and wants a performance boost.
Thanks guys.
Might cover up one of the pci slots, but it will surely fit if it fits the case.
its gonna cover slots but generally any motherboard with a pci-e x16 slot has some thought put into accommodating decently sized cards
It will fit into the motherboard at the cost of covering up the PCI-Ex1 slot. You should pay attention to the product dimensions listed on the page.

Yeah, so he got the graphics card. It all fat OK, apart from this

Ah, any ideas on how to fix this?
reseat the graphics card / try moving it to where you can fit the screws in.
He fixed it with a rather improvised solution. It involved bluetack and leaving the PC on its side.
Reseat the graphics card or try moving it to where you can fit the screws in.
We're serious. If it doesn't work then I have no idea what kind of case your friend is using.
