I think they're missing a letter S in the title of this game.
It's mediocre at best, buy it for $20 in the future sometime maybe. Maybe.

"88% of the 919 reviews are positive"
hm, I'm going to have to go with "it's not garbage".

It released on Steam 2 hours ago. Hell even Ubisoft's own review embargo has barely expired

Some of the reviews are from the Beta (you can see the publishing dates).
edit: ofc I'm not actually planning on getting it because I have absolutely no interested in racing games, save for BeamNG but that's neat physics more than anything.

am i missing something? there are reviews with 70 hours

Review copies.
also I'm surprised that looking at the reviews on the front page, I haven't really noticed anyway "DON'T GET HAS UPLAY" in the reviews.
that or I'm blind.
I like how i can watch the game on steam to see if its shit or not. Steam is really a moneysaver
apart from the server issues, the game is great, especially when played with friends.
Played the beta
Don't know if I would call it "Garbage" but I wouldn't exactly think it would be worth the money they are asking.
Haven't had any server issues, having fun playing.
I'd give it a 80% so far, def. the best Ubisoft release of the year.

most positive reviews says its shit and talks about the shitty physics and microtransations
most positive reviews says its shit and talks about the shitty physics and microtransations
I'm 8 hours in and the game has never prompted for microtransactions, haven't even seen them. Haven't had any problems with physics either.
There seems to be a real stigma against ubisoft with all the stuff they have done recently, but this game is fun. The world is huge and open, and it's just fun to drive around. If you don't like that, then the game probably isn't for you, also if you have any internet issues it definitely isn't for you.

It's almost as if every game isn't perfect and has some downsides, but otherwise can be enjoyable.
Like Sniper Elite 3. Dear lord I hate most of the DLC for it, and the AI is particularly dumb at times, but it's certainly a title I'd recomend because I found it to be enjoyable overall.
Games are a sum of their parts.

I know I've posted this before, but fuck off Ubisoft

its really noticeable with a wheel.
Saw some footage on Steam Broadcast, seemed pretty boring, tho with a lot of customization. Players seem to be avoiding each other about as much as in any MMO, there's the typical kinds of races and chases to do, and a lot loot scattered throughout the world.
World and story seem to be pretty bland, which is a major problem for me since just racing itself is a pretty weak core gameplay to me. I like it as part of open world games, but just racing is too boring for me.
I need something extra like Driver San Fransisco's mechanics and humor or Burnout's over-the-top focus. The Crew doesn't seem to have anything extra unless you really like driving around the US (like so often) and customizing your car. Maybe it's more fun with friends, but that's because of the friends, not because of the game. Any game's more fun with friends for that reason.

I disagree on the world part, I've been playing for about 10 hours now and I'm not even halfway done with the campaign. There seems to be much to do and discover, which I like. The only thing I don't like is how there isn't much cars in the game compared to other titles, I think this game has around 40 or so.
It really comes down to this, if you loved Need for Speed Underground/Most Wanted, you'll love this. At least that's what people said and it seems to be pretty true.

I honestly don't blame them though because Ubisoft has been shit for ages.
I really enjoyed this with a friend during the beta.

It wasn't released 6 hours ago. People were playing it since Monday that weren't review copies. I was able to play at midnight on Monday. It's really a fun game, the people over at the crew thread in GD already have 30+ hours on it.
$2/hour is worth your time. There's a lot to do in the game and it's fun to just drive around, and you can play car tag with your friend's across America.
It's actually a really good game, ignore the people who haven't tried it and are just on the ubisoft hate wagon.
