Nothing says they will until after their little experiment. The article says it [i]could[/i] go public. They might just hold onto it and update it during the test and when it ends they immediately release it and see what happens.
Makes sense really. There's no point to halting all R&D for a year.

lol. Makes me wonder if they actually quit because it was getting boring/there wasn't enough of a challenge? There are after all a lot of hackers (and crackers) just messing with code because it's fun to come up with ways to manipulate it, kinda like some people enjoy breaking games to produce funny bugs and glitches.
Yeah the timing made it look like they couldn't crack Denuvo to some people and looks like they took that personally.
