I want my laptop to be a bit faster when starting up, opening programs etc, so whats the best defrag software? Free or paid, doesnt matter. It doesnt really matter if the program takes a while to defrag because i only have about 80gb of data on here anyway.
I personally use Defraggler and I'm quite happy with it
Defraggler
I've always used Auslogics Disk Defrag. It was pretty good.
I use Auslogics but only because Defraggler refuses to actually work for me. Once it churned away for 10 hours and didn't do anything.
MyDefrag. It optimises as well as defrags.
I've been using MyDefrag for the past few months and it's really great.

MyDefrag Screen Saver. Never worry about defragging and optimizing again. Though I don't like running it on my current HDD, it makes terrible sounds under stress and I need to keep it alive for a few more months until I get some expendable cash.
I used to swear by Diskeeper, but despite claiming to be unnoticeable in the background, it causes noticeable freezing in games with large IO spikes, for example loading a new song in osu which is done without threading (derp). O&O Defrag has been perfect for me so far - a similar system to Diskeeper applies, except instead of running 24/7, it runs daily and applies the same monitoring on system CPU usage and IO to ensure it isn't noticed. Unlike Diskeeper, it has no effect on game performance while running. I've also noticed a huge improvement in performance from O&O's 'OPTIMIZE' engine compared to Diskeeper running in manual mode or free programs like Defraggler.

O&O.
