is it worth getting a membership to DeviantART?
i would upload stuff.. and it seems like a small amount to pay right?

You don't have to pay to upload single submissions, so if it isn't going to be a steady flow of work, it doesn't matter that much.
Some of the stuff you get with upgrading is kind of cool, though. I would say go with 3-month prepaid, it's only $8.
