Hey guys,
Haven't owned a PC for a few years, have just started back at Uni and looking at running a stream/YouTube while Im studying to be a Journo.
What are your thoughts and criticisms of this build?
I'm looking at about AU$1500-1600.

Honestly, that's a pretty great build. The only thing I can really think of is whether or not you need 2 TB worth of storage. But if you feel the need for that, then I can't think of any criticisms.
Pretty good, I'd go Gigabyte over MSI and a bigger SSD, but pretty good.
Get a i7 for streaming instead. i5 is gonna be eaten fyi (unless you use a capture card like avermedia's)

The MSI actually has more features in the same pricerange and way better sound quality.
Gigabyte has a better UEFI bios layout though.
QUality wise there is not much difference.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I will probably over clock if I have any issues. I don't really see the big difference between Haswell i5 and i7
Just a tip for the streaming part, if your going to stream with software instead of hardware with like a capture card, use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) instead of whatever crap that comes with streaming sites or xsplit or whatever that paid junk is. It's free, it's really lightweight, and it streams really well, you can put pictures and text up with the stream too. No slow down or anything when streaming, can stream even on a slow connection, looks fantastic. Not exactly sure how it does it, probably some extremely efficient compression from the looks of it, but it does it well.
Thanks for the software advice, will be in contact with a lot of the community anyway as I am also a Journo

Twice the cores and .1 Ghz is the difference. Whether its worth $100 or not is up to you.
Any opinions on peripherals here?
Obviously getting a mech kb but unsure about the rest of the build.
