The adventures of the PC that never works for over a month, part two:
I noticed recently after fixing my last issue, that My PC yet again began to bluescreen, this would happen if I left the computer off overnight, and in the morning it would bluescreen over and over until it finally settled and worked, however i'm getting freezes if I watch a youtube video or simply try to listen to music. The sound will distort, the mouse will often freeze as well but in some cases can be moved. I notcied that sometimes, if it has frozen I can hear the music carrying on in the background although it's super slowed.
Any idea's on what's causing this to happen? I should note that the PC has not long been formatted and everything on here is pretty new.
can you please provide some details about your computer? like cpu, ram, antivirus, etc? what was the last issue and how did you fix it?
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHz Yorkfield 45nm Technology
4.00 GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (6-5-5-17)
Packard Bell BV MCP73PVT-PM (CPU 1)
N20WB (1680x1050@60Hz)
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series (ATI)
1863GB Western Digital WDC WD20EARX-00PASB0 ATA Device (SATA)
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH15F ATA Device
Realtek High Definition Audio
I've had problems for months now, when I seemingly fix them it just gets worse later on. Last time I was bluescreening everywhere and freezing without even running any programs. It seemed simple enough as the GFX card had creeped out of its socket, I pushed it back in and de-dusted it, seemed to work fine until now.
A friend mentioned that the hard drive RPM is too slow for a desktop, which is fair enough but I didn't have this issue before. I'm honestly ready to throw this PC out and save up for a new one if I cant solve this.
It just froze whilst downloading, wasn't watching or listening to anything. It does resume after 20-30 seconds, but it's incredibly annoying.
What's your internet connection like? LAN or WiFi? what's your download speed? and what's your speed for the adapter you're using?
"The HDD RPM being slow is bullshit." <-- tis true. Unless you have a HDD from a 1962 computer with an RPM of 300, you're good :p

also, how is the streaming on other computers in the network?
Downloading at 4 MB/S sometimes, and it'll vary in between that like drop down to just 200 KBs like now. Internet isn't slow at the moment, I'm on wireless.
hmmm, you're not using HDMI are you? for your video and sound?
Nope. If I was to use HDMI (to watch my movies on the TV) my internet would cut out.
Just noticed that after a freeze (this time it froze for like 2 minutes) my internet was cut out in the meantime, as steam would tell me I had only just come back online. And it just did it on TF2.
