Morning FP
Since yesterday or so i have this problem. Even though i click just once, it does a double click which is kind of annoying seeing as I'm now deleting mails i don't want to delete and the context menu comes up when trying to click links.
The problem might just be age though as it's about 2 years old, but i expected a Saitek mouse to work a little longer than that.
I may be wrong but isn't there malware that does this sometimes? Virus scan/spybot scan perhaps?
Though, I remember when I first bought my Logitech G7 about 3 years ago. When I first plugged it in it was dubble clicking, so I RMA'd it and got a new one, with the same problem. I repeated this twice more before I got one that didn't double click. Must've been a bad batch at the factory or something.
Basically, try your mouse with a different computer to see if it's your PC or the mouse. If it's the mouse, RMA it if you have warranty, otherwise if you're feeling bold you can try and open it up to see if there's dirt or something, i dunno, in the way.
Virus scan. Whatever you currently have installed and thenSpybot Search & Destroy
Try another mouse.
Try another USB port too..
Probably bad contacts. Happens a lot to Razer Kraits as well, including the one i had.
:frown:
In the end it does seem to be the hardware. I have no other mouse to check but my graphics pad doesn't have that problem either.
I actually had the same problem for a while, it somehow disappeared, I removed all the cables several times (was because of something else) including the usb mouse and replugged and it worked properly again.
