H&S Minecraft Server - Hardware & Software

Hello. I didn't want to shit up the Computer Illiterates thread and derail it any more with my off topic posts, so I decided to put it here. If a moderator thinks this is in the wrong place, please discuss it with me first - here are my reasons for posting it here as opposed to in Games in Progress or Minecraft: -This server is for H&S regulars, and I intend it to be a community server - I don't want randoms from other sections coming in -I need a separate thread, or else I will derail the Computer Illiterates thread Rather than the previous Team Versus shit that didn't work too well, I've decided to go full anarchy - you can team up with friends and form your own factions and groups - but be careful, nothing's stopping them from betraying you. Hide your chests, hide your wife, and carry a sword - murder is allowed (and will hopefully be frequent). I kinda walked for two in game days in one direction to get far enough from the action that I can build a huge tower in.

The server needs to be restarted. It's lagging horribly.

It's cool how this server doesn't lag constantly. I played a bit, I'll probably come back later once I'm done watching loads of lets plays.

I spent quite a while way out at my house. Sadly, those of you who build close to spawn are all gonna get looted. I'm basically playing single player with a chat with friends. lmao.

JWJ says they multiply, grow, multiply etc until there's so many of them that their movement packets spam up the stream, causing 30 second pings or just making everyone time out. As I said before, it's the slimes - if anyone can tell me a good bukkit plugin for mob control (disabling slimes), it should fix the problem. I tried MobControl but it just threw null pointer exceptions all over the place and didn't actually work. Restarting it now.
