This morning while I was using my laptop it suddenly shutdown without warning Now when I attempt to turn it on the green indicator saying its plugged in goes black for two seconds and comes back on. But the machine doesn't start. The laptop is always plugged in because the batter is completely dead; won't charge at all. When I check the AC adapter; the green indicator on it does not change colors and constantly stays green. The model is: Toshiba Satellite L355-S-7915
First question, does the hard drive light flicker atall? To indicate the laptop gets powered up? Also where are you in the world? and how old in the laptop I ask where you are as I'm not sure if the same rules apply outside the UK, if you have a product which is faulty or suddenly stops working for no error of your own then the company you bought it from are legally bound to supply you with a repair, replacement or refund as the trading standards act states that if an electrical item breaks for no fault of the user in the first 5years of ownership then it's unfit for purpose and needs resolving.
2009. The hard drive light does not come on. [editline]2nd October 2013[/editline] United States
AC adapter went kaput, battery was fine. Problem solved.
