Holy late
I find it annoying how the music blocks out pretty much all of the sound from the game.
OHhhh Yeeessss, Yeeessssssss
I like how it actually seems to be about mech battles, as opposed to every other fuckin mech game released since the last proper mechwarrior where they give giant robots the mobility of a ninja with super jetpacks. Here's to hoping they didn't dumb the game down at all.
I never really played the mechwarrior games, I'm guessing it's more about targeting specif parts of the opponent to disable weapons or such.
Looks awesome, but I'm wondering if torso articulation will be separate from direction of movement, and if the throttle works the same way. I hope they don't casualise it, but it looks awesome

You generally have to keep track of your radar modes, heat levels, ammo count for your weapons, balancing different weapon groups, etc. They also featured a mechlab, allowing you to customize your mechs from everything from jump-jets to weaponry to heatsinks (to keep heat down) to engines, to electronics, etc. Certain mech chassis had certain weapon mounts, and these mounts typically can be destroyed.

Looking good.
As long as we're discussing Mechwarrior, anyone else attach 4 PPC cannon's to 1 button and just explode on a target for a near guaranteed kill? Fuck overheating, I don't need to worry about my mech being overheated when I've already won... Come to think of it, I was probably a horrible team player.
use an awesome, arm it to the teeth with lasers, shoot enemy legs 1 time each, watch your prey from a distance
If you arm Awesome with anything heat-based that's NOT a PPC, you are an unperson.
where they give giant robots the mobility of a ninja with super jetpacks.
Japan.
