• Screen recording software that doesn't take up your entire hard drive.

So i noticed with FRAPS that it really hogs up all my HDD space when its recording. Does anyone know a different recording program that reduces this? WeGame was my favorite recording software but they went down quite some time ago.
DXTory with a good setup [editline]25th October 2013[/editline] nobody should use fraps anymore
Recently heard of http://obsproject.com/ is a better alternative, try that perhaps?

OBS is good for livestreaming, but if you're looking for video quality it's not as good for configuration as DXTory in my experience. i use OBS for my twitch, and DXTory for anything that i'm not livestreaming.
most live streaming software do that for instance open broadcast software can be used to make local recordings
OBS has horrible quality for me, and DXTory takes some time to learn, ill use fraps... (too lazy and got 2TB hard drive with 1.5TB left)
Nvidia Shadowplay is coming out in three days, you should try that if you have an Nvidia card
I still think Bandicam is the best. I can record in 720p with limited framerate hit and the filesize will only be a couple gigabytes for 30 minutes
Msi Afterburner but it has been buggy a bit for me lately, not workign with all games.
Definitely Dxtory. It's got a great range of options and doesn't destroy framerate like Fraps in most cases. However if you're going to be recording then in general it's going to take up a lot of space. but 809mb for a 38 second video is pretty ridiculous, you might just need to toy with your recording settings.
OBS video quality looks perfectly fine to me.
point a camera at ur screen all my youtube fans love it [sp] mirillis's action! is pretty good[/sp]

Bandicam is alright. Its basically FRAPS without the crazy file size.
