If you can't be without your phone for ~2 hours, you shouldn't be going to see a movie and you clearly have some problems that you need to work out.
It seems totally asinine to spend anywhere from 8 to 12 bucks, maybe more (not counting theater snacks) on a movie ticket and then spend a third of that time looking at your damn phone.
Being on the dark cinema and then seeing that huge glow of someone checking their phone is just the worst.

This will get killed off because of the MPAA.
"Texting" will be people just be recording the movie.
Seats will turn into detachable wall cubicles so people don't see screen glow.
Whatever happened to going out into the hallway to use your phone?
