• My XP keeps rebooting..

I'm on my laptop right now, due to my XP being broken. It will not stop rebooting. As soon as I press the power button, I can get to where I press what way you'd like to start your system. After I press any one of the four options, boom. It restarts, and the cycle doesn't end. I posted here hoping someone could solve my problem before paying best buy $200 to open up my computer.

Do you have the Windows XP Recovery disc that most likely came with the computer?
No, I can select what ever mode I want, the point is after I select any of them, it automatically reboots. I don't have a recovery disk.
What do you mean you can "Select what ever mode you want"? I don't understand that, as in what kind of mode?
>Run Windows with Safe mode >Run Windows with Networking >Run Windows with Command Prompt >Run Windows normally
You will pay someone 200$ to replace/fix an os? What, really? Just reinstall it.
You will pay someone 200$ to replace/fix an os? What, really? Just reinstall it.
He can't; he doesn't have the disc.
Then he needs to get the disk.
He can't; he doesn't have the disc.
As said above, get a disk then.
The problem will NOT be fixed with the disc, it's more complex than that. I've already tried it.
You didn't reinstall windows?
The problem will NOT be fixed with the disc, it's more complex than that. I've already tried it.
You seem to underestimate the power of the disk.
1. There's something called neighbors. Look it up. 2. The disk's "power" is shitty. 3. If you're not going to help, please don't be a kid that posts for the sake of posting.

Did you actually reinstall windows or did you just fuck around with it? 3. I'm trying.
before paying best buy $200 to open up my computer.
Fuck best buy, go support your local PC shop. Odds are it's some guy into technology like any of us trying to earn an honest buck doing what he likes. [editline]11:46PM[/editline]
2. The disk's "power" is shitty. If you've reformatted and reinstalled Windows and it's still fucked up then it doesn't sound like a problem on Windows' part.
