I would suggest waiting until January for Sand Bridge. I'll still post a suggestion build though.

I think most people are not going to wait a month for a CPU to come out when they can get something thats cheaper and can do everything they need just fine.

Heck I've never owned a computer with an Intel CPU (other than my Macbook). I'm just putting that option out there.
In my opinion, I would wait on buying anything < i7 and buy Sandy Bridge i7 is not to be replaced by SB
