I'm trying to delete a windows folder on a old hard drive from inside windows 7 and it keeps asking me for permissions even after I've taken ownership, I've done everything possible and it wont let me delete it.
Here: http://download.cnet.com/EMCO-MoveOnBoot/3000-2094_4-10397293.html That's my last resort before reformatting if I can't delete a really stubborn file or folder.
Thanks it works!
I think Unlocker also works.
Why would you want to do this?
He probably installed an old drive with windows on in his Windows 7 machine, but due to windows stupid way of protecting it he cant delete the old windows folder
del command on CMD? Kind of worked for me... Boot a linux LiveCD and delete from there?
Well if it's a secondary drive you could just back up what you need from it and format it.
