• Cannot update Intel graphics card on a computer with two different gpu's
    2 replies, posted
My 64-bit laptop uses an i5 Core 4000 HD gpu for running desktop programs and uses my Nvidia 660M for gaming and such, but whenever I try to update the Intel gpu, my computer tells me that "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer." I've gone to the Intel website, used their Driver Update Utility, which told me to download the newest driver, and I have tried both the 32-bit and 64-bit installers, but to no avail. Is there a way around it, or is it not even worth updating?
If you already have a dedicated graphics chip (the GTX 660M), there's no reason for you to update or even be using your CPU's integrated graphics chip. No need to waste your time with it.

If everything works as it should already, don't try to repair what's not broken
