So, I was playing MW2 today on my computer and I was holding the right mouse button to aim down the sights (it's a habit). I spotted someone and started holding down the left mouse button to fire. After a few seconds I stopped and went to turn around. To my surprise, I didn't move at the normal speed I set it to, but instead spun around about five times as fast. I learned that for some reason, my mouse changes speeds if I hold down both the left and right mouse button. It has some button on the bottom that says 800/1600dpi on the bottom, but I don't touch that. Does anyone know if there's a way to stop the speed from changing because it's really effecting my gaming/
the 800/1600dpi is the speed of your mouse if you want to slow it down lower the number, what mouse do ou have btw?
But when I slow it down, it just speeds up too much again when I hold the two buttons.
Have you tried updating the drivers?
Yeah. There's no updates for it, and I even tried disabling and re-enabling the mouse, and unplugging it.
Im not sure but what mouse is it?, i could search to see if there is simular problems
Try using the mouse without drivers. That's what i had to do, it was fucking up in all DX games (it was some different problem). If you have any special buttons on he mouse some of them may not work though.
What surface is your mouse on? A wooden, metal, glass, plastic laminate finish counter, etc, as optical mice are sensitive to the surface its being used on (its hard to get a proper reading through glass, and any material with a shiny finish (shiny surface, i.e varnished) can cause the mouse to act strangely.
My mouse has this, it's called precision mode. I turned that shit off.
