I have no idea what to do here, but here are my specs: [img]http://niggaupload.com/images/SgxHR.png[/img] My hard drive is almost brand new, been using it for about 2 days, used to have a really old hard drive, and since replacing it, performance has improved, but not to my satisfaction... It's a struggle to run many games at atleast 30fps, I bought Crysis and I can hardly manage a stable 30fps on high with AA off, so something is wrong here. Any tech wizards here could help a newbie out? I'd be much appreciative.

I'd suggest you invest in a better one. If you post your budget we could help you.
But... But... [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7ZRWbgcWO0[/media] Plus like, I got DiRT3 with it, so if it's actually not made for gaming, that's really baffling. And this WAS my new graphics card, I've basically blown my budget on what I have now. Edit: Also, like I said, barely 20fps, it's usually something like 25-ish.

The 6670 is a multimedia GFX card, not gaming.
FUCK. [editline]10th September 2012[/editline] How come that dude on youtube gets better fps on average on higher settings than what I do when I have what seems to be a superior build?
Except for downloading and installing the latest drivers, there are ways that are less conventional to increase the performance. Such as overclocking and tweaking various settings. But you don't know if in fact the videocard in the video is a 6670 and the settings are as he said.
True. Do you recommend overclocking? And what kind of settings should I try tweaking? [editline]10th September 2012[/editline] Also would an Inno3D GT 440 be a better card to use?

Your best bet is to check the catalyst control panel; i'm not used to the catalyst software but there should be tooltips etc telling you what would be the fastest setting. I do not recommend overclocking with such a card. The cooler is not designed for it and the extra performance you would get is negligible. You should save up for a new card if you want to play the latest games. Unfortunately that is gonna cost you more.

With ATi, the x770 or above seems to be adequate for gaming. With nVidia, it's 60 or above as Wolverunder says. [editline]10th September 2012[/editline] My friend has a 6770 and runs Crysis on High at a playable framerate, not sure what though.
I'm afraid I'm just going to have to stick to this card, can't really afford to put more money into this computer. Thanks anyway fellas.
Check for second-hand somewhat older cards then Usually they are fine. A mate of mine always bought them second hand for like a half or a third of the price. Nothing wrong with them.
