Beginning Middle End. What are the more fancy ways, if any, of saying this? What are the more broken down sections of this, (conflict, resolution etc) Hope this makes sense, i've had a mental blank and google has proven useless because i can't word it correctly. Cheers.
I hate to look at movies In that way. It begins, then there is a journey of what it wants to tell you then credits role.
I HAVE to look at movies that way, as i am planning my own for my media course. Last resort at getting to Uni, i am going for distinctions and therefore want to use the proper terminologies.
Try describing sequences throughout the movie that were really effective. Comment on how it was shot, music that was used in parts. Styles that were used, performances, characters. Which movie was it?
The correct terms are: Equilibrium Disequilibrium New equilibrium. Look at Rowland Barthes and Tvzetan Todorov. Two pioneers of narrative structure. You might also want to check out Vladimir Propp's categorization of characters as you're bound to run into character driven narrative at some point. Thank you Uberlad, very very helpful information there. I'm doing College level work, - B-tec national diploma in Media + Digital Art. (As - A Level Equivalent) Akayz - I'm making my own and need to plan it, and wish to do so with proper vocabulary.
