Enemy boat spotted.
At first I was like "Eh, looks like Battlefield 3 but with a new map". Then he blew up a support column and the fucking street caved in, taking a tank with it. Okay DICE, I'm listening. Nice, a patrol boat. Really digging the street to skyscraper stuff. Hoping the destruction of that building isn't some scripted shit like the radio tower in BF3.
Yeah, multiplayer, NOW we're talking. Looks super cool, I really don't want to buy this because I don't want to support EA, but fuck....
Gotta say, I'm pretty damn impressed by that map, especially with the amount of destruction in it. Must've taken quite a while to make, considering how big it seems to be.
No mortars? ;_;
No mortars? ;_;
Exclusive GameStop pre-order DLC watch it happen
good old demonstration of Buddha mode again there...
Holy mother of God that ending. That's what I was wishing for when they were talking about BF3. If this is really how the game is I will definitely be getting it.
No matter how good this game is or isn't, I won't be buying unless Battlelog has improved (because it won't be going anywhere). Half the time I couldn't get BF3 to even work because of it.
Watch as people destroy those support columns just to fuck with friendly tanks. Was pretty cool how cinematic they made it look though. It looked like something out of singleplayer, and that counter knifing looks awesome.
I love the commander mode. They should allow people that are in other places than a computer play it like that. Like being the overwatch of the game, and getting points for unlocks like that. I myself would love to just be able to be a general watching the game unfold and commanding troops like that.
good old demonstration of Buddha mode again there...
what do you expect? if the player would've been dying a lot, as in a typical BF game, it wouldn't make for a very enjoyable presentation to watch
I hope they will add back the commo rose log from battlefield 2, people actualy team work much better with that.
I'll admit, when I saw the singleplayer it looked dumb. I personally didn't like BF3, mainly due to the level design and how dumbed down destruction was. This video has made me reconsider though. The destruction seems a lot better and the level design didn't appear to have really any bad choke points. I just hope they put in better terrain destruction than in BF3, as the video didn't really show it. It was cool in Bad Company 2 how you could make your squad a little trench to hide in.
Good god...any single one of the scenes from that would've convinced me I wanted this. All of them together? Probably one of the best trailers i've ever seen, especially the very end.
Still looks like it should just be a large expansion, to be honest.
I retract my initial statement; I am fully erect The player playing the commander looked dumb as fuck though, he barely ever took cover.
So I'm a little lost, if there's an option to have your commander command from a mobile device, how is that implemented? How does the app know what game you're in, or do you even have to be logged in? Can you command by getting match-made just from the app on your phone and play it like an RTS on the toilet?

Normal commanders will probably still be players, just like BF2 and 2142. Commanders on tablets probably won't be present as characters, just the commander interface.
Commanders won't have a physical presence in the game, no matter what platform you're playing on.
That's both an improvement and a disappointment. I'm glad we can use abilities without having to worry about dying, but I liked being able to switch.
