I feel like I want to reach out to people. So I'm making this thread.

I don't want to make this into a sob story so I'll keep this short.
I have had a long history of feeling "invisible" to other people. And most recently I've taken to isolating myself to better deal with these feelings, and it hasn't worked.
It's 5:00am, no-one's around, and all I want to do is just talk to someone.
How was everybody's day? Anything interesting happen to you guys recently?
I'd love to hear it. Please, go on.
(Just as a quick note, sorry if this wasn't worthy of a thread. Just sort of felt like the right thing to do. Hopefully you understand.)
Adding you on Steam. Been looking for more people to chat to.
Hey op, to combine "an interesting thing that I did recently" and some advice; as someone who deals with feelings of absolute crushing loneliness for months on end, I find a good solution is to go to a Con.
I mean I know you cant do that NOW, but sometime in the future perhaps. Also, while it doesn't permanently make you feel better, I feel that con weekends are some of the funnest shit I do all year and atleast for a day or two I feel totally happy with life.

and generally just have a great time.
Hope this helps somehow.

I was totally being facetious.
But hey, I'd love to go to a con. Most recently I was eyeing up that Roosterteeth one. Can't remember what it was called.
[editline]ECH[/editline]
Did a quick google search. RTX it was called. Looks seriously amazing.
Cons are always nice to go to. Although I haven't been to anything in 2 years or so.

I was going to post about how it's still possible to be isolated in a convention, but RoosterTeeth's actually a pretty great convention to go to meet some pretty cool people.
If you plan on going, post something in an RT journal (Your profile blog/whatever) or forum and state how you really do want to meet people at RTX.
The community is pretty great, I'm sure that there's plenty of people in there that'd be happy to meat you ;)

I completely agree, when I went to a convention last year it was the funnest, most awesome thing ever. Look into RTX some more and see if you can find your way there somehow, you'll feel much better.

I live in the UK so it sadly isn't much of an option. Not until I'm in a stable part of my life where I have a long-lasting job.

They have stuff in england? I wouldn't have guessed they even had a fanbase here.
I guess the internet has a way of connecting people from across the globe like that.

I'm sure at least 2 people will get your costume.
One of them being you and the other being that wierd guy from accounting who skulks around the office by himself, smelling of week old cheese sandwiches.

I've been a part of 2 AH Community sessions for the AH Community videos channel, specifically for Things to Do stuff, and both times almost half the other players were British. There is a massive fanbase in the UK.

Hey OP, you ok? How are you?

It was a shitload of fun. I have a few videos on my channel of my personal footage from the games, otherwise you can check out the Cops and Crooks and Cat and Mouse videos on the AH Community page.
Added you on steam, hopefully you don't mind, been looking for some cool people to talk to recently.
I feel like I know this feeling.
Even though a couple years ago I found a very loving group of friends who I never want to drift away from, I can't help but sometimes feel that nobody really likes me. Or maybe it's just me that doesn't like me.
It was a lot worse about a year ago, when I was struggling with depression. Not fun, but I'm doing a bit better now. I'm hoping to get a job and work on being less awkward.
So, Dancingonpie, I really hope you feel better. I've never been to any cons, so I don't really know what that's like. But I have been to small Pokémon tournament-ish things, and it really is nice to go somewhere where everyone there has a common interest, so I'm sure a con would be worth checking out.

Naw man, I go to a bunch of conventions alone, I always find people to hang with.
Just get into a conversation with some one and be like "I don't have a group could I just chill with you guys and follow you all around a bit"
Works great for me. It's what I did with the girls in that selfie I linked to. "hey we have the same cosplay sorta, cool, lets hang out!"
I just wanna say thanks to the users who posted in this thread with their good wishes and friendly chat.
I was going through a pretty rough night- bordering on panic attacks- and you guys cheered me up to no end! I really appreciate it. This I why I love coming to this site.
