I'm bored, figured we should have a situations thread! Here's one I vaguely remember picking up from 4Chan:
You wake up in a small white room after signing onto an experimental study, containing a table and two buttons. Pressing button A will cause a door to appear and open to your left, button B a door to your right. Pressing both buttons at the same time does nothing, causing you to be trapped in the room forever or until death. Upon entering a door, it will shut itself and disappear behind you.
Button A allows you to enter a room slightly larger than the original room, containing nothing but a table and a gun containing one bullet. You are trapped in here with no way to get out. Wasting the bullet means a very slow death for you.
Button B allows you to enter an even larger semicircle room, its height half as long as its diameter. All it contains is a microphone. Using this microphone, you can request any object you desire so long as it isn't electronic. Zero contact with people in the outside world. Any attempts to escape or kill yourself will be thwarted at the very last minute, and if you refuse to eat, you will be force-fed. Once a month, you can request a clone of anybody in the world, but they will not have any mental capability beyond basic bodily functions...essentially a zombie. What you do with them is your wish. You will live in this room for 20 years, and at the end of it you will wake up outside the facility with enough money to start a new life.
Which button would you choose?
I choose room B, and request both IV saline and a liquid food, as well as to be chemically induced into a coma.
I'd request that I be awoke roughly 6-8months before the 20years is up so that I can allow my muscles to recover from the atrophy.
None of these requests intrinsically require electronics, or "contact" with a person from the outside.
button b so I can have tons of clones of donald trump
