Ever since the Ipad came out, tablets have been coming out of nowhere, and the ones with the most potetential die before release. (Courier, Slate). I feel like a tablet would be incredibly useful for many things, among being portable. So, Facepunch, what do you think the best tablet is? Please don't say the Ipad, because other tablets have twice the hardware power for the same price. I would love to be able to run windows applications, but Android tablets are fine too. I looked at the Archos 9, and it didn't get any good reviews. I would also like to know of upcoming tablets that have potential, if you feel that one looks very good.

I heard zenpad sucks, http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/31/enso-zenpad-unboxing-and-hands-on-one-disappointment-after-anot/
The archos is good, but i hate the resistive touch screen.
Don't know the other 2
You're not going to get a lot of devices with capacitive touch screens.
I despise resistive
Wow, zenPad sucks and so does the Archos. There really aren't any good tablets out right know except for the iPad.
And that would be my problem...
If only the Archos 7 had Froyo.
I have an HP TX1000, and it is a great machine, except for the passive, hard to push on touchscreen. Seriously, I have to push so hard on it, it feels like the screen protector on it will last maybe a month at best. That, and Linux doesn't see that it's a touchscreen anymore. It used to work great in Linux Mint 5, but they had to fuck it up for me with Mint 6 and onward.
I use an Asus T91. The resistive touch screen is a bummer, but I've found it's actually gotten more sensitive since I put a touch-friendly multi-layer screen protector on it. Seems to require less pressure.

That looks absolutely badass. I really hope that comes out somewhat soon so I can use it for school.
I'm geting a eee pad it will rape the ipad. Asus made the notebook i'm pretty damn sure they can pull this of.
The eeePad looks great, but it won't be out till early 2011.
Why does the Tablet market suck right now!

because the two alternatives to the iPad were canned.
I'd say the Eee Pad.
