• Did I get shocked by lightning?

I was outside last night and there were pretty bad storms. I was in a parking lot near my car and a light pole got struck by lightning less than 25 feet away from me. I felt a huge volt and I immediately felt light headed and I couldn't hear anything, my ears were ringing. I had this really weird taste in my mouth and I felt shaky. I don't know if the shit got scared out of me or whatever or if I actually got exposed to some electricity. I googled some shit but there's really nothing except 11 year olds on Yahoo Answers. I have had a headache since I woke up this morning and my shoulders ache pretty bad. Uh.. did I get a dose of some electricity or something?
I find it unlikely that you got any charge since you're in a vehicle, and you're meant to be safe. It's probably just the sudden bright light and sound.

If you're concerned, see a doctor. Don't ask weird people on the Internet. We're all armchair idiots.
electrical charges can surge through objects or if the ground was wet.
Go to a goddamn doctor already
Do you smell like cooked ham? No? Then you're good.
This must have been a shock.

Best to go to a doctor and possibly get an ECG done, and at the least have a checkup just to make sure you haven't been turned into a human toasted sandwich. I'd hazard a guess and say that most of what you're experiencing is shock, so if it wears off I wouldn't worry (just mention it next time you speak to a doctor) UNLESS it comes back, in which case see sentence 1 Also, have you had any palpitations at any point? If the answer is yes, skip the doctor and go to the ED and demand an ECG.
The only cure is to eat nothing but canned beef for a week.
you obviously now have super powers [t]http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120820210753/playstationallstarsbattleroyale/images/7/72/Avatar_cole_macgrath_1.png[/t]
Did you have mad hair afterwars? Because if you didnt, then you obviously didnt get hit. Please dont kill me for making the most obvious joke. I realise it wasnt even really a joke. Sorry everyone.
Did it taste of sulphur the weird taste in your mouth? I have heard that you can smell sulphur in the air after a strike
You probably didn't hear anything from the intense blast of lightning and aching muscles can be that the jolt caused your muscles to contract pretty violently and cause cramps, I dont think you need to go to the doctor. I've had some powerful shocks of electricity in my life and that has caused my muscles to feel sore, but I dunno about headaches tho'
[QUOTE=jamzzster;41533029]Did it taste of sulphur the weird taste in your mouth? Also, OP, it sounds like you were shocked in the fright sense, what you describe sounds like an intense fear response, still see a doctor though.
