Using my advanced arithmetic skills I can deduce that the result is a number.
Is this your homework or something.
No he just randomly and impulsively set his life goal to solve an arbitrarily chosen equation.
it's two
Is the answer -10?
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=((2x/15)-((x-6)/12)-(3x/20))%3D(3/2)

this is retarded
Thankyou Pacific, dont know if you could show me the process if getting to that answer? I have been doing this over and over for the past hour and am failing to see what I am doing wrong.
2x/15 - x-6/12 - 3x/20 = 3/2
8x/60 - 5x-30/60 - 9x/60 = 3/2
-6x -30/60 = 3/2
-6x -30 = 90
-6x = 120
-x = 20
Wrong answer, not too sure where I am going wrong. :(
Because I'm a nice guy:

Bro, your problem is that you don't change the (-) to (+) when you remove the parenthesis.
This is the reason i am not a programmer.

Chances are you fucked up on a minus somewhere, this is really trivial
You could always use the graphing route to solve it

Cool but I find it needlessly long
Getting rid of fractions ASAP is the key to solving these problems.
I failed math :saddowns:
I tried to figure this out and got close but then fucked up because I forgot brackets means multiply :saddowns:
I hate fractions. Decimals are better.
-get lowest common denominator (60)
-combine fractions
-Get rid of denominators (multiply both sides by 60)
-make sure that -(5x-30) is converted to -5x+30
-you're pretty much set after that

God no
Hahahah, shit, linear equations. The last time I did one of those I was on the brink of jamming my pencil through my skull. I simultaneously hate maths and use it more than the average person.
I wish I was still in linear equations. Calc is not so much fun.

Are you kidding, arithmetic is the most boring thing ever. Calculus is when mathematics finally gets interesting.
