• Multiple Beeps on start-up

Hey guys. My computer parts came in today. CPU: i5 750 MoBo: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 RAM: G Skill RipJaws I get rapid continuous beeps on start-up. My manual for my MoBo says it's a power problem, but it gives little information on how to fix it. Help!
What's your power supply? Manufacturer, wattage, and all that. Check to make sure the motherboard has all the power it needs. It may have a plug somewhere on it that you didn't plug into.
Check all plugs, what's the sequence? Like, exactly how many beeps? I've had the same problem
I have a corsair 750 watt power supply. [editline]08:44PM[/editline] nvm it owrkzzzz
Open the case. Take out your ram and put it back in. Your ram might be loose.

What Specter said, and it helps if you remember the beeping sequence, your motherboard beeps different sequences to tell you that something is wrong with a part. [editline]07:18PM[/editline] Also.. motherboards seem to have really powerful speakers or whatever produces the tones.. I remember an old site going around that locked your PC and made the motherboard speaker SCREAM, and go up and down in pitch extremely fast, was pretty scary.
Hey everyone... My brother is having this exact same problem with his new computer and what interests me is that his specs are identical to the ones the OP listed (Intel i5-750, Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3, G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 1600, Corsair 750W). I'd really appreciate a response; there's a good chance it will lead to a solution and avoid any headaches. We've tried switching the RAM DIMMs (there are only two to try and both from the same package) and it led to no avail. All cables and connections are secure. After powering up the computer, all fans spin and devices light up and then a few seconds later the motherboard emits continuous, short beeps for around 10 seconds maybe, probably anywhere from 20-50 beeps (all same pitch and length and almost no time between each beep so it's impossible to count) and then the beeps stop for a second before it repeats again.
Look in your case for the battery. It's a round thing. Push the tab next to it in and take it out. Then put it back in. It resets your BIOS settings and sets them to default, putting it essentially in the mode it was in when you first bought it.
Yeah the parts just came in the mail this past week though so the computer hasn't really been booted yet (successfully at least) so clearing the CMOS shouldn't really do anything but I guess it's worth a shot.
Hello. I have the same problem before 1 hour. It's not a bios or power problem. I've tryed to boot only MB & CPU and again this crazy beeps. Like most MB i used the first DDR slot close to cpu. That's was wrong. If you use blue slots for your DDR3 RAM try to change it on White SLOT. From CPU DDR slots are 3,1,4,2. Sorry for my english :)
Maybe its your GPU :3:
What dreamdj said is true. I PMed j00tgasm and he told me the same thing, and I've read about the problem on various sites (newegg reviews, tomshardware whatever). So yesterday we tried just the second slot and it worked perfectly, then we added another into the fourth slot and it also worked. We can't really test if it the order is 3,1,4,2 instead of 1,3,2,4 since we only have two DIMMs and since he ordered it from Amazon they're shipping a replacement before we have to send this board back. If the same "problem" is on the new one as well then I'll have to assume it really isn't a problem at all... Thanks for all the help guys, and j00tgasm who got back to my PM with his solution within minutes :P
