Hey guys, I've been planning on upgrading my PC for a while now but have been very indecisive on what direction to take. Allot has changed since my last big upgrade and I was just wondering if I could get your opinion or ideas on this build? I am from the UK and really don't want to go over the £400 mark for these new parts but obviously want a lot of boom for my buck. I have looked at Intel i5 and P55 mobos but things can get very expensive in that area so instead I have decided to go for a high end AM3 build. Smart move? It all looks good to me.
I would recommend the coolermaster hyper 212 + instead of the zalman cooler.
I would recommend the coolermaster hyper 212 + instead of the zalman cooler.
I'll be getting the Coolermaster V8 instead of the Zalman cooler. [editline]12:57PM[/editline] I have added the Intel i5 Build idea to the OP too... see what you think?
Go i5, i recently just ordered all this stuff, and everything is cheaper on www.overclockers.co.uk .. the i5 costs about 10quid cheaper. Your choice, personally i would go with i5, because i believe the perfomance is better than a 955 and its good for the future. Conclusion - Go i5, IMO
Op go with the coolermaster cooler. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Coolermaster-Hyper-212-Plus-CPU-Cooler A great cooler. Maximum pc said it beats the TRUE in cooling and should make the i5 cheaper.
whats the TRUE [editline]08:49PM[/editline] Do you even need a cooler, will you b oc'ing it.
whats the TRUE [editline]08:49PM[/editline] Do you even need a cooler, will you b oc'ing it.
I probably will be yeah, not right away but a year or so after I have it. That Coolermaster cooler does seem good with the copper lining and all but I love the look of that V8 engine XD. Does that 212 realy beat the V8 in cooling? Also I am leaning toward the i5 now, mainly because it'll be a future proof build and that I can keep my GTX 260 with the possibillity of buying another in the future. The Asus mobos a definate though, I have had this one Asus for 3 years now, on for an average of 8 hours a day sometimes (almost 24/7 if i'm editing and rendering) with my cpu clocked to 10% and it still hasn't faultered to this day, so i'll give them the credit of buying another. [editline]12:11AM[/editline] Also, Happy New Year! and all that....
