Anyone else noticing people using random internet Memes in school and other places

I mean I can understand things like Lolcats, The game, and Rickrolls
But I've been seeing people using Fjsal, FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-, and other lesser known Memes
And these aren't even nerdy kids, I can ask one of them what 4chan is and they've got no fucking clue. Hell most of them don't even know about SomethingAwful
Anyone else seeing this rapid trend going on

Everyone at my school seems to have just discovered them.
When I was at school, it only was found by a couple of people. those people were already social outcasts, and it spread no further.
i knew nothing of most memes or anything before facepunch. most people at my school knew about lolcats but thats it and they didn't know what they were called or where they came from.

social outcasts
random chicks playing "the game"
was the game started on the internet? everyone knew about that then.
i've never seen it in my school before then, so i doubt it
atleast in my area
wait you doubt it was started on the internet? sorry my phrasing was poor.
was the game started on the internet? everyone knew about that then.
Pretty sure "the game" was from that news article posted in one of the many versions of LMAO pics at one point
People at my school that are electronically retarded play "the game." I have no idea how they found out.

if anyone has that post it

I don't think the game was ever an internet meme. I think it just spread by word of mouth.
its used a lot on the internet now, i do not know if i would consider it a meme though.
Everyone at my college seems to be some sort of hardcore interneter, and yes they know what 4chan and all the other whimsical places on the internet are.
Recently there is been a surge at my school and a few have discovered what 4chan is all about.
Put into account that I live in a somewhat small town in Arkansas, it's a miracle that they even found out.
The game spread through my old school like a wild fire.
The game is pretty well known to quite a few people in my school. It isn't internet related, though.
Yes, I like Turtles just hit, i fucking want to kill everyone who says that. :bang:
Rick Roll spread like wildfire. "Fail" is ridiculously used, to the point where I want to smash the people who are using it's face in with a shovel.
I can't think of any lesser know memes they know, unless it's an inside joke,
EVERYONE at my school plays the game.
FUCK I LOST!!!
All of the band nerds at my school play the 'game', constantly, and it's really fucking annoying.
Yeah, all of my friends IRL act like /b/tards now, they're fags.
Don't like memes. They suck.
I know plenty of people using "fail" and "epic" in almost every sentence. And yes, they give me murderous urges.
Naturally any internet meme that spreads to real life is gonna have to be at least 3 years old.
Like the other day, I was over at my friend's place, and he was like "oh man, look at all these pictures some friend of mine uploaded to Facebook. They're called 'demotivators'" and I had to pretend to laugh at things that I've seen years ago.

Oh god all of the middle school and high school are saying "fail" and "epic" too. AND I GO ON /B/ MORE THEN THEM!!!
My school is only up to the "it's over 9000!!" Meme. They're dreadfully behind.
My school just left Shoop-Da-Woop last year.

My school found out about the purpledrink grip and sip meme not too long ago.
Thank god none of this has happened yet here, we only have fail and epic!
Yeah and it's my fault.
