I was looking on buying a 460gtx or some shit, but the one I was looking at a month earlier was around $170 last time. Now it's 200 before taxes and shipping. So I suspect something happened. can anybody suggest me a card?
we need a budget and the rest of your specs including power supply also you were probably looking at the 768MB 460 before and the 1GB 460 now, the 1GB performs better
If you can't afford the full $200 then get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127512 [editline]21st November 2010[/editline] The difference between the two cards is only 3-4 frames at most [editline]21st November 2010[/editline] Depends on how high your resolution is

This gives you a good idea on the differences between the two versions: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-460-gf104-fermi,2684-11.html The 1GB version is about $200

Open up your case and look at the label.
